Powell, Joseph D., age 43, of Homewood, died October 15, 1997. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be Friday, October 17, at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Survivors: son, Jacob Powell of Shelby County; daughter, Julia Kirk of Birmingham; mother, Ora Powell of Homewood; brothers, William Carl Powell of Dallas, Tex., James H. Powell, and Ray Powell, both of Homewood. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood. Ridout's Valley Chapel directing. |
