Royce G. Creel, 89, of Pelham, AL passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Irene K. Creel, and son, James D. Creel. He is survived by daughter Gail Lanier and son Robert (Lisa) Creel, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He joined the Army at age 17 and later completed his college education with benefits from the GI Bill. He was a teacher and principal in various area schools for many years. Graveside service will be Thursday Aug. 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jimmie Hale Mission or the Shelby Humane Society. |
