About Obituary for DONNELL HUNTER
On September 9/11/ 2015 there was an emergency in heaven and Donnell "Fry Daddy" Hunter had to take care of some business on the other side. He entered this earth on August 1, 1975 with his identical twin brother Dannell Hunter. He was born to the late Mary "Sweet" Hunter and Winston Thomas. He was the youngest of the family that included 5 boys and 2 girls. As a childhood member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, he was a lead singer of the youth choir. A resident of Prichard Alabama, he graduated from Vigor High School The School That Spirit Built, with honors while being the class president, an all-star basketball player and cross-country athlete. From there he attended Xavier University of New Orleans where he earned a degree in Psychology premed. While at Xavier he established several businesses with his identical twin brother. The first was non-profit business Friends Foundation "Giving a helping hand to the community reaching out" through mentoring kids, clothing, sheltering and feeding the homeless. He also created a successful magazine called "Unbelievable Savings" also with his twin brother. In 2005 he opened a restaurant and introduced the world to Fry Daddy’s, Home of the 101 flavors, simply “The Best Wings On The Planet”. His restaurant was more than a place to grab some hot delicious wings late at night it became a place where he was able to minister and feed the people while sharing the goodness of God. Donnell Hunter stood for love, respect, and devotion for mankind and demanded it in his action towards his fellow man everyday of his life. He was a prominent business owner and a pillar in his community. Donnell is preceded in death by his mother Mary “Sweet” Hunter, grandparents Bob and Inell Hunter, Winston Thomas Sr. and Geneva Thomas uncles Willie-James Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Joseph Hunter, Herman Dixon, Louis K. Dixon and aunts Rebecca Solomon, Viola Yeldell, Ethel Thomas, Annette Dixon Graham, Sadie Dixon Graham, and Angela Dixon Davis. Donnell is survived by his identical twin, Dannell Hunter, sisters Mashun Hunter and Etta Hunter, brothers, Winston Hunter, Windell Hunter, Dominic Hunter, and Corey Robinson; father, Winston Thomas; uncles, Henry Hunter, Overseer Thomas J. (Amanda) Dixon Sr., Joe E. Dixon Jr., Michael (Samone) Dixon, Lee Artis Crandle, Nathaniel Graham, Bishop Freddie (Tammy) Davis; aunts, Barbara Hunter, Mae Ida (Pastor Andrew) Carstarphen, Joann Murphy, Lauretta (Pastor Carl) Hutchinson, Deloris (Henry) Harper, Joyce (Clayton) Young, Anita (John) Jackson, Rhonda (Zack) Williams; seventeen nieces and nephews; two great nephews and a great niece; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 1:30pm until the 2pm funeral hour at Nazaree Full Gospel Church, 1695 West I-65 Service Rd. Mobile, AL.
