About | Anchorage resident Douglas G. Stumbaugh, also known as "Peter Pan" and "Pied Pied Piper," 40, died July 14, 2003, in Anchorage. A memorial service was at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel. His ashes were spread at a later date. Mr. Stumbaugh was born Dec. 21, 1962, in Seattle. He came to Alaska in 1975 and was a graduate of Service High School, class of 1982. As a child, he was involved in Scouting and Little League. Later, he raced motorcross. Doug was a journeyman plumber and an active member of the plumber's union. He worked for Hunter Mechanical. Mr. Stumbaugh enjoyed riding his motorcycle and making friends. He was a member of H.O.G. His family wrote: "Doug had a heart of gold and a smile that never faded. Everyone was a friend to Doug, and there wasn't anyone he could turn away." His family added that he was much loved. |
