Following college, she married Martin Doyle Stoops on August 30, 1980 in Tucson. He survives her at the couple's home in Parkville. Family was most important to Barbara, and she was able to live out her dream of becoming a stay at home mom. Her love for children and passion for music would come full circle when she became an elementary music teacher at a Christian school following her children's graduation. It was there she was known for extraordinary Christmas plays and a beautiful children's choir. In her spare time she enjoyed classical music and attending the symphony. Barbara and Martin were long-time members of Summit Point Church in the Mira Mesa community of San Diego, CA and most recently Park Hill Baptist Church in Kansas Citv. MO…. |
