| About | Jhoselyn tested positive for covid-19 while pregnant, on April 4th 2021. By April 10th she was struggling and went the hospital. Doctors performed an emergency C-section, leaving her daughter (Skylar Avery Wade Ortiz) about 6 weeks premature. Jhoselyn remained in a medically induced coma and required a ventilator, during all of this she would have her 26th birthday (April 18th 2021). Jhoselyn fought as the complications grew, which caused her to be transferred to another hospital where she required life support until being declared brain dead. She passed on April 26th 2021. Jhoselyn was unapologetically herself - fully embracing every facet of who she was each day. She was a force of great strength to everyone around her, a wonderful influence on her peers & coworkers, she had a fierce dedication to her goals and life plans, she was also the selfless friend people could turn to in times of struggle. |
