Allen struggled with an aggressive form of malignant melanoma for less than a year before his death. He left behind two beautiful daughters, Alyssa and Sarah and his sister Susan Coco. Allen played trumpet with the Rincon Marching band and had a passion for music. A benefit party was held at Old Chicago Bar in early Oct 1990 to send Allen and his fiance, Shirley to Mexico to drink Mai Tai's on the beach. I hold my glass up to remember my best friend who I walked through graduation with in June 1972. |
