About | Dr. J. Aaron Little (HSHS 81), passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the age of 45. Aaron was an HSHS alumni who represents one of our school's finest examples of success reaching the top of the medical profession as a Surgeon. His compassion and connectedness with his patients from the area, whom he so effectively related to, is renown by those who came in contact with him. Aaron was also accomplished in his private life as both Husband and Father of two beautiful children. Dr. Little was born June 29, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of James Robert and Barbara Ann Cooper Little. Wife Laura Little, Sister Leigh Ann (HSHS 79) and brother Adam (HSHS 87) Aaron was an HSHS Panther top athlete. He was an All-District Center on HSHS Football teams in the early 80's that rivaled AA football as District Champs over Greenbrier and went to State. Aaron was a large powerful man whose stature and determined attitude made for a solid centerpiece for the Panther teams he played on. If you were across the line from Aaron- you were going to get your bell rung. But even more then his power, he was a thinking athlete who strategized his actions and that of the team. And he was a driving leader on the field who reminded his team that they must press on. He was an active Outdoorsman who took large Boone and Crockett class Bucks with modern rifle, black powder, and bow. He also took Wild Turkey by bow as well. Aaron sought the best in people and enjoyed many friends in his time and travels. He was a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway. During his college career, he was a member of Hendrix College Choir. Dr. Little received his doctorate and completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science. He was a General Surgeon at White County Medical Center in Searcy. Dr. Little was a member of the American Medical Association, the Arkansas Medical Society, and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
