About | It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin Lee Brierly announces hispassing at his home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on July 24, 2018 at the age of 49 years. Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Leigh Brierly, and by his son, Shane Howard Brierly. He will be fondly remembered by his parents, brother, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends. Kevin was born to Janiece K. and Howard Lynn Brierly on July 27, 1968 in Huron, South Dakota where he grew up with his brother, Curtis Lynn Brierly. He was baptized September 21, 1969 in Saint Luke Lutheran Church at Nora Springs, Iowa. Kevin moved to Heber Springs, Arkansas with his family in 1979, where he became great friends with many who all enjoyed being with him throughout his life. Kevin was a master carpenter and was known for his excellent work. He loved to hunt ducks with his buddies and was very happy when he could travel to South Dakota with his mother and brother to hunt pheasants with his brother, uncles, and cousins. He always enjoyed fishing with his dad, who showed him where to find fish in Greers Ferry Lake, so he could catch dinner for his family and friends. He had great times fly fishing with friends in the Little Red River. Kevin loved music and played the drums and was always learning a new song to play on his guitar. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could in a minute's notice. He was a generous and loving husband and father who always put his family first. He is preceded in death by one son, Shaun Lee Brierly, his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Helen Moe, his paternal grandmother, Helen Brierly, his paternal grandfather, Gale Brierly, his paternal uncle, Gary Brierly, his maternal uncles, Darold Moe and Roger Moe, his mother-in-law, Lavelva Johnson, and his father-in-law, Norman Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Brierly, his son, Shane Brierly, his parents, Howard and Janiece Brierly, his brother, Curtis Brierly, and wife, Lisa Brierly. He is survived by his nephews, Brandon Brierly, Caleb Brierly, and Corey Brierly and girlfriend, Paige, and his great nephew, Cooper, his niece, Britney Machada, and husband, Jesus, and his great niece, Adalee, as well as many other uncles, aunts, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces-in-law, nephews-in-law, great nieces-in-law, great nephews-in-law, and his many many friends. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Olmstead Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Johnson as officiant. Family and friends are invited to gather at the family home on 406 Sunset Drive after the services. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc |
