About | Janis Kay Noulles, Born Dec. 27, 1935, Passed away May 5, 2015 “Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps!” – so was Jan’s life and mantra, Jan did not tolerate weakness or defeat, she was determined. She was born in Olvey,Ark., grew up in Harrison and graduated valdictorian from Valley Springs High in Arkansas In 1953. In 1965 she arrived in Tulsa with her three children in a broken down car with “May Pop” tires and the headliner falling down, worked two jobs and put herself through school graduating with honors. Jan would go on to become a realtor, receiving many awards and sitting on various boards. In the 1970’s Jan moved to Southshore Condominiums and established herself as Queen, she WAS Southshore to the very end. And how Jan loved to learn! She took on and conquered TU law school at the age of 50. Two of Jan’s greatest loves were her grandchildren and live performances whether it be Opera or the Rolling Stones and often they intersected. Jan has left a memorable legacy not only with those in her family but a host of friends as well. Jan is preceded in death by her loving, caring husband, George T. Noulles and her beloved grandson Shawn. She is survived by her cherished children John Keele, Steve Keele, Angela Affolter and her husband Robert, step-children, Tom Noulles and wife NeMar and Rick Noulles and wife Vanessa. Ten Grandchildren and Three great Grandchildren. A Service celebrating her life was held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Moore’s Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard. www.moorefuneral |
