| About | It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the sudden passing of Scott, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. Scotty moved to the Dominican Republic, where he met his first wife, Hilda, and became father to Angelica Purdy. Later, he married Yineiry and became father to Carla, Jake Henry and Billie Anna Purdy. Growing up in Barstow, he played baseball and football. He loved his sports, including fishing. After coming back to Barstow, he worked for his dad at Barstow Tire & Brake, and also Purdy Clean Car Wash. His last job was driving for Medical Alert, transporting patients to where they needed to go. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Billie Purdy, and Jake and Florence Holland, uncles, John Holland and Wallace Purdy, aunt Larcelle Purdy, stepfather Bob Bernasconi, and most recently, older brother Jerry Purdy Sr. Scott is survived by his wife and children, father Leonard, stepmother Paulette Purdy, mother Sheryl Bernasconi, siblings Liz Purdy, Garry Purdy, Danielle (Chris) Carter, Stephanie Turrini, Darren (Connie) Bernasconi, Todd Bernasconi, and Wade Douglas. |
| Events | A viewing will be held at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Rd., Barstow, on Friday, September 7th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will also be held at Mead Mortuary on September 8th at 11:00 a.m. |
