About |
I graduated from Cal Hi in 1969, (Donna McCloud-McKenzie) and Dan in 1977. He was senior class president, won the Joe Bright award, played water polo, and swim team. He was good looking, friendly, a good student. He went to Rio Hondo College two years, and wanted to be a speech pathologist. He was two days!! away from starting Whittier College when he suffered a severe concussion-head-injury on a motorcycle, and yes, he was wearing his helmet. Dan reamined in a vigilant coma at Imperial Rest Home in La Mirada for the next 12!! years, until his passing. I am proud of all my brother's accomplishments, but I learned to love him unconditionally. I would go and sing to him, and pray, and I like to think he heard me. Such is the power of love. As of this date, (1-27-09), Dan is survived by his 91 year old father, two sisters, two nieces, and cousins. He is much missed, everyday, his young life was taken much too soon, and we shall, for sure, see him in heaven one day. Dan was a Christian, and our shared faith gives us peace. |
