About | Erin had a rare diseasecalled Cystinosis. She was diagnosed as a baby and lived with it all of her life. Cystinosis is a genetic metabolic disease that causes an amino acid, cystine, to accumulate in various organs of the body. Cystine crystals accumulate in the kidneys, eyes, liver, muscles, pancreas, brain, and white blood cells. In 2002 she was finally about to get a kidney transplant, however her body did not fully accept the kidney and once her body rejected it she passed not long after. Erin lived a life full of love and friends. She was married to the love of her life, Dan Preciado. He was completely devoted to her and was by her side even as she passed. She is survived by her mother, father, two sisters and husband, as well as many many friends who were more like family. We love you, Re Re Bawf! I know you are enjoying some drinks in heaven waiting to see us again. ~ Andrea Hopper |
