About |
My older brother, Joe died at 52, in his Quarthill CA home after a short (4 wks) fight with pancreatic cancer. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force (Thailand), then, he worked in the aerospace industry, and finished his career as a Group Counselor for teens at the Challenger Youth Center in the Antelope Valley, the high desert region of southern California. He was best known for his community involvement with the Quartzhill Youth Sports in T-ball & Little League for over 20 years. Married Sue (Bechtle) for 33 years, they had 2 sons, 1 daughter and 4 grandsons. He loved the outdoors with family, including racing off-road trucks, fishing, camping & handyman for many AV residents in need. He was a loving, kind & gentle man with a lot of patience and we all miss 'Big Joe' in our lives. Joe's last wish was to have his ashes spread on the kelp beds floating off the Channel Islands where he could stay around for awhile! |
