About | Bill was involved in a fatal hit and run auto accident on the 5 Fwy at the Alton Parkway exit the evening of Sept. 30th, 1995. He and another passenger in the car he was riding in were killed instantly by a driver that was speeding down the freeway and hit the SUV they were in, causing it to roll over 3 1/2 times. That driver was never found. These 6 young adults were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were inocent by-standers. 4 others from the same SUV were injured in the accident, some very seriously. Our family has been devastated by his loss, at the young age of only 21, but our lives go on knowing that is what Bill would have wanted. We miss him terribly. He had such great friends growing up in Covina throughout Grade School, Jr. High at Center and at Gladstone. Even though Bill left Gladstone in his Junior year and did not graduate with you, he considered himself a part of your class as he went to school with so many of you since he was in the 5th grade. Many of those friendships continued on until the day he died. He was a very fortunate young man to have known such extraordinary and loyal friends such as yourselves. He never took that for granted, ever. Please know what joy you brought to him in his short life. "Remember him for his smile and laughter, for that is how he will remember you". Our thanks and love for your thoughts and prayers. Heather, Damon and Maureen Baughn |
