About | Kane Waggoner, the long time swim coach and government teacher at Glendora High School, passed away on June 20, 2019, at the age of 86. Whether you called him "Coach" or "Mister" chances are Kane Waggoner made an important impact during your time at GHS. He was a strong and important influence on literally thousands of young athletes and students during his long and distinguished career at Glendora. His swim teams won numerous league and C.I.F. titles, as well as individual swimmers receiving All-American recognition. His influence in the classroom was just as significant. He was a man who lived a life of purpose and made a life long difference in the lives of many. We should all strive to leave such a legacy. Thanks Coach - RIP. Funeral services will be at the Glendora Methodist Church on July 6. Thanks to Bobbie Lambert and Jill (Tannehill) Selak for sharing the information about Coach Waggoner and the spirit for this memorial. Jim Lee on behalf of the GHS Class of '69 |
