About | William S. Rosencrantz William S. Rosencrantz, Rosey was born on Feb. 20, 1925 and passed away Dec. 17, 2017 in Reno, Nevada. He grew up in Idaho with three sisters and after service in the Navy during WWII, he began working at Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, California in 1947. While working at the depot, he completed his education and received his certification for electric maintenance from the General Electric Company. Rosey was always known in the Herlong Community as the go-to guy for any electrical needs or projects. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with a can-do attitude. Rosey was preceded in death by his wife, Melba (Mickey) Rosencrantz, and his son, Terry Rozencrantz. Survivors include his daughter, Vivian Peterson; daughter-in-law, Colleen Rosencrantz; three granddaughters; two grandsons, three great granddaughters and one great grandson. We have all been very lucky to have had Dad/Grandpa for as long as we did and to have benefited from his help over the years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 17, 2018 at Diamond Crest Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held afterward in Reno, Nevada. Information as to the location will be provided at the graveside service. |
