About | Gerald V. McIntire passed away on May 29, 2008 in Placerville, California. He was born on October 27, 1910 to Harvey and Alice McIntire In Boise, Idaho. He was preceed in death by his wife of 62 years, Grace McIntire, infant son Michael Vance McIntire, sisters Bonnie Schrader, Eleanor Clark and brother Leo McIntire. Mr. McIntire is survived by sons John, Chuck, Jim and Patrick McIntire, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mr. McIntire served his country during World War II as an enlisted man in the Army and was assigned to duty in the China-Burma Theater of Operations where he served with a laison unit training Chinese troops in their war against Japan. After the war, he was employeed in Civil Service at Herlong, California's Sierra Ordinance Depot. He spent the last 10 years as a Nuclear Special Weapons Technician for the Army traveling to many countries as an instructor and consultant on Special Weapons. After over 30 years in civial service he retited with Grace to Placerville, Californiato enjoy his retirement years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2008, 1:00 PM at Lake Oaks Mobile Home Community Club House at 4280 Patterson Drive, Diamond Springs, Ca. |
