| About | Jane Elizabeth Stady Jane Elizabeth Stady (Goode), 87, a long-time resident of Herlong, was surrounded by family at the time of her passing on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Reno. Jane was born in the town of Arling, Idaho on April 28, 1928. On July 4, 1946 she moved from Renton, Washington, to Herlong. Jane met the love of her life, Roger Stady, and they were united in marriage May 10, 1959, and through their union they were joined together with her three children and his two children. She worked at the Herlong Primary School for more than 40 years and was the business manager at the time of her retirement. She enjoyed participating in the annual school Halloween parade, often dressing up as the “school clown” and leading the parade. After retirement she volunteered at the local library and faithfully attended the monthly retired ladies luncheon that she enjoyed so much. She also liked giving to several animal charities; one in particular was the Animal Ark in Reno. Some of her hobbies were caring for her yard, feeding the birds and enjoying time with family and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; father, George; mother, Eva; her sister, Joyce; son, Roger Jr.; and great-grandson, Travis. Survivors include her daughters, Marsha and her husband, Don, and Debra and her husband, Jeff; her sons, Michael; and Kelly and his wife, Paula; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jewel and Joanne. Donations may be made to an animal charity of your choice. The family plans a celebration of Jane’s life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. The potluck luncheon will be held at the Milford Community Association (MCA). |
