| About | Daniel (Dan) Morgan, a proud member of the class of 1967, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in January 2006. Until his untimely passing, Dan remained the vivacious, spirited, unforgettable person he always was. Dan spent his adult life in service to the youth of this community. In addition to working his regular position at the San Jose Mercury News, Dan coached both baseball and football at many of the local high schools within the district (including Leigh) and, at the time of his death, was the line coach at his alma matre West Valley College. Dan was married for 28 years and had one son, Brandon (Bub) Morgan who followed in his father's footsteps and has been a successful football coach at both Leigh and Westmont. The friends Dan made through high school and beyond remained friends until the end. He frequently shared with his family and friends the many funny and fond memories he carried forward throughout his life.
