Abbott Marshall Garcia Abbott Marshall Garcia, 27, died in an automobile accident December 27, 2003. He was the beloved, dear and joyful son of John and Sharon Abbott Garcia of Alamo. He was a cherished nephew and cousin in the Garcia, Abbott and Candage families in California, Maine and Florida. He had attended Creative Learning Center, Rancho Romero School, Seven Hills School of Walnut Creek, Stone Valley Middle School and graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1995. He earned his BA degree from UNLV and had nearly completed his Master's in Public Administration. Abbott was a man of enthusiasm, generosity, superb humor, creativity and discipline. He was an avid reader, a story teller, a world traveler, an animal lover, a practitioner of Chinese Shao Lin martial arts. He spent a year studying in England and had traveled extensively in Brazil, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, France, Israel, Turkey, China and Tibet. His adult life was living among dear friends in the theater and martial arts, a loving girlfriend, and coworkers at Borders in Las Vegas. Friends are invited to attend Abbott's memorial at the San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church, 902 Danville, Blvd., Alamo, January 17, 2004 at 1:00 PM. |
