About | Blake M. Gilman of Magalia passed away on December 3, 2004 at age 31. Blake was born on November 15, 1973 to William and Karen Gilman in Oakland. He graduated from high school in 1991 and graduated from Louisiana School of Honors, Shreveport, Louisiana. Blake served honorably with highest regards in the United States Air Force from 1993 to 1999. December 20, 2001 married Victoria Haskins after serving a tour of Guam. Blake loved life with a zest everyone could feel. He loved sports! He never gave up on those ""Raiders"". He loved children, the earth, skys and oceans. His heroes were Jacque Cousteau, Howie Long and his grandpa. Blake planned on returning to college to become an archeologist. Blake's father, Bill Gilman preceded him in death. His mother, Karen Gilman of Magalia survives him. Half sister, Stacey Gilman of Kent, WA and half brother Billy Gilman of San Leandro, and his aunt Mari Knapp of Magalia also survive Blake. His sister, Jenny Gilman of Magalia, brother Cody Gilman of Oakland also preceded him in death. Services will be held on December 29, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the chapel in Old Magalia. |
