She was a gentle, patient, and playful parent, and savored every moment she spent with her children. She greeted each day as an adventure and an opportunity to help her children grow. She was happiest when her family was together. Carrie was an avid reader and enjoyed participating in various book groups. Some of her favorite activities were quilting, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends. Carrie loved and appreciated her doctors, nurses and other healthcare professions who did so much to enable her to live richly during her battle with cancer.
