About | Donald Edward Grodecki, 72, computer software innovator and founder of Browsersoft Inc., passed away at his home in Lake Quivira, Kansas, on December 4, 2022. He is survived by wife Cheryl Ricke, and daughters Larissa Grodecki (Christian Huffman), Jilliane Cookson (Zac), and sister Deborah Grodecka (Joe Pelphrey) . Born December 23, 1949, in Riverside, California, to Ceslas (Terry) and Edward Grodecki, Don spent his early years mastering his skills at Ramona High School where he was a National Merit Scholar. Don excelled at speech, drama, debate, music, and of course, his specialty, mathematics. He was fondly known around campus as “the brain” and “a general nice guy,” and he learned early the importance of leading by example. He served as Ramona High School Concert Choir President, was one of their famous Madrigal Singers, and sang in various university and community choirs. He would continue to raise his voice in song throughout his life. Don even found time to ride and show his horse in many regional parades as a member of the San Bernardino County Junior Sheriff’s Posse, fundraising for local charities |
