Betty Jo was born in New Boston, Texarkana, Texas Mar 10, 1934, and arrived in Los Angeles in 1940 with her large family. Betty was a loving, nurturing Mother, Grandmother, Greatgrandmother who above all things lived for her large family. BJ was preceded in death by both of her parents, five brothers, and two sisters. My mother had the greatest memories of growing up in San Gabriel, which she always referred to as her stomping grounds. She possessed talent beyond measure, had the greatest sense of humor of anyone most have ever known, was a great listener and confidant and we have lost our best friend. Intelligent beyond words, a woman who made all those around her feel loved and appreciated with a wit that could cause the most somber to laugh until they were sick. There are no words for the loss her children and grandchildren feel, but I know I was the most blessed child having had her as my mother. We love you Mom. |
