Events Aloma was one of my closest friends . She was very active in school activities. We were the first graduating class so we got to do a lot of the planning and becoming members of lots of clubs and things she was a song leader. She married Lawton Powers from Bakersfield high he was a couple years older than us and they married the summer going into the senior year and the parents, but that my cute brand new house by South high and it was like plain House all of us girls we giggle in to go see her cute surroundings and all we were so shocked and excited that they were getting married to us. It was young. She fought a long time battle with her health. She was such a trooper. this was later in life and admired her so much, our buddy Donna Stambook Little invited 10 of us to Paso Robles. Oh I don’t know how many years ago it was to see Dolly Parton perform at the winery. It was a big event and the seats were scattered in Aloma had me sit with her in the very front row in between songs Dolly would talk about her life, and she would stand there and talk towards Aloma like a personal conversation. It was so sweet and Dolly was so beautiful and kind the Aloma was in a wheelchair in real obviously and poor health a
And she passed away. Shortly after that. I am writing this on myphone and I can’t see very well and I don’t punctuate and who knows what the Phone’s writing. I’ll try to figure out to clear this up another time.
