Annette Lorraine Smith Williams Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1964
Date of Passing Oct 12, 1969
About Annette Smith was one of the truly popular students in the WUHS Class of 64, embodying all the talents and abilities most of us would have liked to have had in our high school days. Smart, pretty, personable and quite active in a number of school activities, Annette was also a frequent honor student, well-liked by everyone. Her smile was stunning and all of her teachers had a very kind regard for her...she was that sort of 'genuine' person, with a personality and talents to match. Annette was also a WUHS cheerleader several times and also a Wasco HS Band 'banner girl' in her last few years (bearing the letter 'A' for Annette, of course).

Annette's younger brother, Carl Smith, graduated shortly after her and went on to become a highly regarded coach for the famous Seattle Seahawks professional football team (he is now 72)! And her father, Hamilton (or 'Ham' as he was known), was a highly respected member of the WUHS teaching staff (special focus on chemistry).

in June of 1964, Annette graduated from WUHS and went away to college, where she met and married her husband in the late 60s. Tragically, however, both she and her husband were involved in a fatal auto accident that took Annette's life in October of 1969. Her passing left many of us feeling quick sick at heart, for she had brought so much happiness into all our lives during her brief 23 years of life!

Annette was laid to rest at Wasco Memorial Gardens, where she rests eternally (gravesite 51-B) at peace.
