About | Robert Woody taught math at the middle school and high school from 1963-65. This was his first teaching job. He was a avid fly fisherman and would often be seen fishing the Yampa after school to catch his evening meal. He taught me how to fly fish and kept me supplied with flies that he tied. He was born in 1941 in Boulder and grew up in Louisville. He was a graduate of Louisville High School. He received his BA and MA from Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado. Upon leaving Steamboat Springs in 1965, he returned to Louisville and resumed his teaching career at Longmont High School where he stayed until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Selma, son Robert and daughter Elizabeth. Sincerely, Warren Schupbach Social Studies teacher and assistant wrestling coach, 1964-65 |
