About | Barbara Gall | Visit Guest Book Barbara Gall, aged 63, entered into heavenly peace on Wednesday, March 9. Miss Gall had been a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, CT. She enjoyed a long career as an office manager, stepping aside during her eight-year fight with cancer. Barbara was an accomplished singer, performing in many bands, musical performance groups such as the Elderberries and Pitch Pipers, and most recently at Masses at St. George Church in Bridgeport. She enjoyed outdoor activities, frequently spending her leisure time at the parks and beaches of Fairfield and New Haven Counties. An irrepressible optimist, Barbara was always giving help and aid to those in need. She volunteered to read for needy children and assisted with Bridgeport PAL Santa's Workshop. Her smile was ever-present, and ready to brighten anyone's day, especially to those who seemed to need it most. Barbara was committed to living a healthy lifestyle, believing in daily exercise, mindful nutrition and proper supplementation. This contributed to her withstanding the rigors of chemotherapy and radiation treatments and set an example for others. She was constantly thought to be decades younger than her actual age. She is survived by her son, Eric Gall, and her beloved life partner, Henry Melhouse. She has a surviving sister, Anne Nelson, and brother George Gall, Jr., several cousins, nephews and nieces and other grieving relatives, as well as countless friends. She also leaves behind her treasured Pomeranian/Papillon mix, Evana. There will be a memorial Mass on Friday, March 18, at St. George Church on 443 Park Avenue in Bridgeport. At 9 AM, there will be a time for gathering and paying of respects; the Mass will begin at 10 AM. A get-together will be held for friends and family following the Mass.
