About | Ruth Cecelia (Buggie) Clark, 89, of Cromwell, wife of the late Henry B. Clark, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Cromwell, she was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Elizabeth (Hilkenback) Buggie. Ruth lived most of her life in Cromwell and was a member of St. John Church in Cromwell. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1936, was employed as a secretary with WTIC, Rare Reminder and at Covenant Village of Cromwell. Ruth loved completing sudoku puzzles, playing solitaire on the computer, enjoyed photography and feeding the wild birds, was a fan of the UConn women's basketball team, loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing cards with Dort, Toddy and Shirley. Ruth is survived by four sons, Ed J. Clark, Jack W. Clark, Hank C. Clark, all of Cromwell, and Don T. Clark of Redwood City, Calif.; her daughter, Sandy Doyle and her husband, Fred, of Colchester; a brother, Robert Buggie of Cromwell; two sisters-in-law, Rita and Clara Buggie; four grandchildren, Donnie Carpenter, Jason Clark, Kate and Kelly Doyle; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by five brothers, Martin, Edward, James, Thomas and Gerald Buggie; and two sisters, Beatrice Dower and Elizabeth Cooper. Ruth has gone to rest along side her husband, Henry B. Clark in the State Veteran Cemetery, Middletown. |
