BACON, Richard L. Richard L. Bacon, 59, of Glastonbury beloved husband and best friend of Patricia (Brennan) Bacon, died Friday (April 23, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born Oct. 25, 1950 in New Britain, son of the late Leslie and Adeline (Bentley) Bacon he had lived in Glastonbury for the past 30 years. Prior to his retirement in May of 2009 he was an Information Technician at the Labor Department for the State of Connecticut. Richard graduated from New Britain High School, Class of 1968 and the University of Colorado. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, history, was involved with his son's activities, had a great sense of humor but most important was his wife and two sons, they were his life. Besides his wife he is survived by his beloved boys who were the light of his life; Matthew B. Bacon and his girl friend Amanda Selig both of Farmington, Timothy Richard Bacon of Ft. Carson, CO. currently serving in Iraq, two sisters and brothers-in-law Beverly and Bob Huber of Southington, Nancy and Paul Couzelis of Norwalk, his mother-in-law Estelle Brennan of Glastonbury and many nieces, nephews and friends.
