BERBERIAN, John H. John H. Berberian, 59, a resident of Faulkner Road in Whitingham, died unexpectedly Thursday, (January 29, 2009) at his home. John was born in New Britain, on April 20,1949, the son of Harry and Henrietta (Yirigian) Berberian. He received his education in New Britain schools, graduating from New Britain High School in 1968. With his wife, Kristine and his brothers, they operated Lakeside Oil Company,Inc. which they ran from 1978 until 2003. John worked as a musical instrument repair technician for Music & Arts for the past nine years. His passion was music, especially jazz and collaborated in many studio sessions in New York City as well as playing in his own bands. He was a jack of all trades and a master of many. John is survived by his wife the former Kristine Stenner and his daughter, Jan K.Berberian of Whitingham; his mother, Henrietta Berberian of Plainville; his brothers, Harry Berberian and his wife, Patricia of Spring Hill, FL. and Leon Berberian of Plainville; along with several nieces and a nephew. A celebration of the life of John H. Berberian will be held Saturday, January 31, at 11 a.m. at the Jacksonville Community Church. Pastor Douglas LaPlante will conduct the service. There are no visiting hours. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service at the Jacksonville Municipal Center. Memorial services for John will also be held at the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection on Stanley St. in New Britain at a day and time to be announced. |
