| About | BRANCHINI, Mona E. Mona E. Branchini, 61, of West Hartford, died Saturday, (January 7, 2012) after a long debilitating illness at her home surrounded by her friends. She is the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Brandanini) Branchini.of New Britain and West Hartford, CT. Ms. Branchini grew up in New Britain, CT. and graduated from New Britain High School, Class of 1968 and from Central CT State College with a B.S. degree in Biology. She also earned a B.S. R.N. nursing degree from St. Joseph College, West Hartford. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for over 27 years as a charge nurse and as the Director of the Breast Health Clinic at the hospital. She was a highly skilled and compassionate nurse. Ms. Branchini is survived by her sister, Christine Haynes and brother-in-law, John of Las Vegas, NE; her uncles, Robert Branchini of New Britain, CT and Art Branchini and family of Rosenberg, OR; cousins: Michele Sullivan and family of Winter Haven, Fl.and Daniel Brandanini and family of Canton, CT. She is also survived by Allegra and Stephen Weir and family of Hebron, CT and her life-long friends: Burton and Mary Christensen and family of West Hartford, CT and Susan Klepak of Hartford, CT. She was a loving sister, niece, cousin, and friend. The family and friends would like to especially thank Marvalynn Reid, Mona's 24 hour care-giver, for her devotion to Mona . The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff and nurses of the Masonic Care Hospice for their care and support of Mona during the last months of her life. |
