He is the beloved husband of Franca (Bragoni) Jones and father of his two children, Justin and Marina whom he loved with all his heart. Born in New Britain, he was the son of George H. Jones of New Britain, and the late Mary (Massi) Jones. He was a Newington resident for the past 12 years. Jeff had been employed by the New Britain Herald for 20 years and most recently as the Building Superintendent. He was active in the Newington Hockey League and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. Also surviving are three brothers and their wives, Peter G. and Lydia Jones of New Britain, Mark H. and Darlene Jones of Plainville, and Thomas M. Jones of West Hartford; his mother and father-in- law, Federico and Roseanna Bragoni of Newington; two brothers- in-law, Walter Bragoni and Michele and his wife, Cheryl Bragoni, all of Newington; two sisters- in-law and their husbands, Marisa Bragoni and Keith Knoblock of Tucson, AZ, and Christina and John Didden of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends. |
