Lindy died in in a Colorado hospital from Covid. He was ill for nearly 3 weeks. He had been in very good health, physically fit, with no co-morbidities. The Covid was in his lungs, and continued to spread in them, despite everything the hospital did for him. Just two weeks after he died, Colorado opened up Covid vaccinations to those 70 and older. He was 73. Lindy was a Vietnam veteran, flying Huey helicopters there in 1972. He was on active duty in the Army for 26 years, retiring as a Colonel. He's survived by his wife, two children, Mandy (Blackburn) Baerman of GA, a son, Dale L. Blackburn of CO, and two grandsons. He's buried in Ft. Logan Military Cemetary in CO. Rest in peace, good and faithful soldier. |
