| About | Robin was born on June 25, 1954 in New York, NY, to the late Robert W. Thomas and Mary M. Carroll Thomas. She was most recently employed as a customer service representative with Bank of America at the Deerfield site. Prior to her current position, Robin worked for BTI America Travel in Newark, DE for many years. She greatly enjoyed her time there, creating many special friendships and traveling extensively. Robin's family brought her immense joy. She delighted in spending time with her grandsons, who were her world. Family gatherings and events were especially important to Robin. Christmas, in particular was very special to her. She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Richard Robins and a brother, Michael Thomas. Robin is survived by her daughter, Tammy M. Merlino and husband, Christopher of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Robert W. Thomas, Jr. and wife, Pamela of Sterling, VA and John F. Thomas, and wife, Sheila of Wilmington, DE; grandsons, Nicholas T. and Colin W. Merlino; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon, on Friday, August 6, at St. John the Beloved RC Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am, on Friday, August 6, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Ste 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801 or the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Rd., Ste 1, Newark, DE 19711. |
