Mr. Fred Blease Stivender, Jr., age 56, of Macclenny, Florida died Friday, Oct. 8, at his residence following a brief illness. Mr. Stivender was born in Germany and lived in the Georgia bend of St. George, Ga. before moving to Macclenny, Florida 15 years ago. He was employed as a truck driver with R.H. Davis Oil Company, Macclenny, Florida for over 32 years until his death. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Broken Horn Hunting Club of Vidalia, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred. B. and Nancy McGruder Stivender, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lori Godwin Stivender of Macclenny, Florida: his daughter, Kristi (Wesley) Hicks of Macclenny, Florida; one son, Fred B. (Katelyn) Stivender, III of Macclenny, Florida; two sisters, Martha Chapman and Helen Hall both of St. George, Georgia; four grandchildren, Simmie, Raylan, Ariel and Justin; and a close friend, Rusty Martin of Lake City, Florida.
