About Casey Carter Bonar, wife of Henry "Hank" Bascom Bonar II, died peacefully in her Morven Road home on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Casey was born May 3, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee to Tim and Kay Carter. She was President of her senior class at Orange Park High School in 1981 and received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1985 where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, majoring in Economics and U.S. History. In 1998, she received an M.A. in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD. Casey was an active member in Meninak Service Club of Jacksonville; Member, Women in Housing and Finance, Washington D.C.; board member, Chicago Finance Exchange; Member Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago; Member Duval-Jacksonville Democratic Executive Committee; and Member, Jacksonville Area Advisory Board for Salvation Army. Her professional achievements most recently included Manager of Claims at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Jacksonville Office. Her career highlights include positions as Vice President for Governmental Relations, The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Washington, D.C.; Senior Vice President and Director Federal Government Relations at LaSalle Bank Corporation, ABN AMRO, Chicago, IL; Senior Vice President and Regulatory Liaison for JPMorganChase (JPMC), Chicago, IL; Washington, D.C. Office Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs for the Securities and Exchange Commission, Washington, D.C.; Washington Senior Reporter for the White House Bulletin, McLean, VA; Vice President and Government Relations Representative for Fuji Bank Limited, Washington, D.C. Early in her career, Casey held positions at Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Washington, D.C.; Resolution Trust Corporation, Washington, D. C.; Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Kansas City, MO and Denver, CO. She leaves behind her loving husband, Hank; his two sons, Henry III and Robert; and their families including Jessica, Valery, Henry IV, Heather, Robert, Nicolas, and Anna Barbara, and sister-in-law Margaret Bonar, all of Jacksonville. Casey's mother, Kay C. Lynch, stepfather James L. Lynch, also of Jacksonville; her father Tim Carter and his wife Galy, Alaska; brother Kevin T (Bo) Carter (Lorrie), uncle Mike Carter (Andrea), step-brothers Scott Lynch (Gay Lynn), Joel Lynch, John P. Lynch, step-sister Lori A. Favre (Chris), Jacksonville. Nieces and nephews Kally Carter; Bobby and Brooke Wilfong; Marcus and Ryan Lynch; Nicholas, Zachary, Mariah Favre; Andrew Lynch, Melissa Entenza, Emily and Carmen. Grounded by her roots in Christian values and her vast assortment of friends, relatives, and business associates, Casey's intense desire for helping others included providing flowers for the tables at the Sulzbacher Center, making bricks for the poor in Africa, and traveling throughout the world tending to and learning about the needs of others. Her passions include bringing people together for fun, and all good causes, a variety of music, Thai foods, which she ate with chop sticks, the color purple, running and biking, playing tennis at Boone Park and local clubs, good sermons, light-hearted movies, simple but nice jewelry, a good prayer, as many hugs and cuddles as needed, flowers and pet Bella. She lived her life motto: Making someone's life be better, now angels have her help. A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 245 Kingsley Ave. Orange Park, FL 32073, on Wednesday, July 14 at 3:00 p.m. and reception following at Club Continental, 2143 Astor Street, Orange Park, FL 32073.
