SCPO James Benjamin “Bud” Fox, US Navy Retired, 66 of Sanford passed away Monday July 29, 2013. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday at First Baptist Church by Dr. Jeff Clark. Mr. Fox was born in Sarasota FL, son of the late James B. Fox Sr and the late Claire Steveson McCracken. He retired from the US Navy as a SCPO. Mr. Fox is survived by his wife Gretchen G. Fox; one daughter, Michelle Mashburn of Munford, TN; two sisters, Susie Powers of FL and Patricia Cheesman of ALA; one brother, Richard “Dickie” McCracken of FL; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
