About | Ron Chambers (Arlington, Class of 1986), 38, passed away October 23, 2006, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta on May 2, 1968, and attended Arlington from Kindergarten through graduation and was active in sports and drama. Ron moved to Statesboro to attend Georgia Southern and graduated in June 1994 with a BS in broadcasting. Ron's talent and passion for guitar allowed him to entertain and perform throughout his college years. He met his wife, Melissa, at Georgia Southern and they married on April 29, 1995 in Jacksonville. They made their home in Statesboro and Ron started a successful electrical contracting business, Chambers Electrical Contracting. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Melissa and Caraline Chambers; his parents, Curtis and Madelyn Chambers, Atlanta; brothers and their families, Jeff, Shari, Sarah and Katie Chambers, of Acworth; and Greg, Nancy, Kellen and Paxson Chambers of Orlando; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. |
