Events | Obit January 5, 2012 Scott Rotter The Union-Recorder MILLEDGEVILLE — Scott Rotter, 56, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Father Don Caron officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Rotter was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., but had made his home in Milledgeville since 1962. He was a graduate of Baldwin County High School and received his B.S. in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. He worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Oconee Regional Medical Center from 1975-1978 and served as the director of Baldwin County EMS from 1978-1982. He worked for Prudential-Bache Securities in Atlanta from 1987-1994. He later worked for Charter Behavior Centers from 1999-2001, the Oconee Center from 2001-2005 and was the director/CEO of Recovery Resources from 2005-2011. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Herne Stone (Dan) of Milledgeville; three brothers, Eric Rotter of Tucson, Ariz., Mark Rotter of Chandler, Ariz., and Craig Rotter of Macon; and nephews, Zane Burchett and Gus Rotter. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Moores Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the donor’s choice.
