About | She was the designated driver for friends, and was taking them home. A drunk driving teacher who was 3 x the level of alcohol inebriatiation, plus opiates she took from her grandmother, and marijuana, entered the Interstate the wrong way and hit Kathy and her passenger. The passenger died immediately. Kathy struggled for 72 hours exactly. Her killer, Dorothy Shannon Hill, is in prison serving an 18 year sentence that is eligible for parole every 2 years. She has cooked drugs in prison, but still is eligible for parole. We miss Kathy to the depths of our souls. She loved the drama department, and going to New York for the annual trip to see the ball drop. I'm so glad she got to experience that. She got a degree in drama and was offered an internship at the Julliard for Stage Management. Harry Thomason (Designing Women) told her that she had a job in either New York or Hollywood, whichever she chose. But she lingered due to a boyfriend. Oh, if that had not been - she'd be alive. Please remember her. If you create a scholarship, I'll be a major contributor. Kathy loved Atlanta, Chattahoochee, etc. |
