About | Denny Coles died February 19, 2022. He was born in Shoup at Shell Creek. He married Linda Waddington, out of union, they had a son Jeff Coles, that marriage dissolved. He then married Nancy Chaffin, out of union, they had a daughter Becky Coles Church and a son Dennis Coles. He served six years in the U.S. Navy drove a school bus, logged, was a mechanic, heavy equipment operator and he retired from the Lemhi County Road and Bridge Department. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, collecting rocks and camping. He even worked as a camp host at Bayhorse after retirement. He loved the rivers, especially the area where he was born. He spent lots of time there in his later years. Back in the days he ran boats on the river. He loved to sell and trade things. Was a great story teller who loved helping people. Had a great sense of humor and loved to play jokes on people. He is survived by his son, Jeff (Angie) Coles, daughter, Becky Coles Church; brother Woody (Phyllis) Davis, sister, Alice (Ken) Park; Linda Southerland. His six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Coles; son, Dennis (Carol) Coles, parents Anna (Herb) Coles; sisters, Gorgie Reynolds and Eelnor Winn, brothers, Bob Davis, Ray Davis and Danny Coles. His family sends extra love and appreciation to one of his best friends whom he went a lot of places with - Tim Vandemore. They want him to know all the rides to Idaho Falls were very much appreciated. *Dad like to things his way. He died and that he said, "Denny Coles says for ya all to have a nice day." |
