| About | Grant Milton Havemann, 78, longtime Salmon businessman, passed away on October 17, 2018, with his loving family at his side. Grant was born on March 11, 1940, in Salmon, Idaho. He grew up in Salmon, where he met the love of his life, Carol Daniels. Grant and Carol were married on June 14, 1959, in Salmon. After he graduated from the University of Idaho in 1962, Grant and Carol moved back to Salmon, where Grant became the 3rd generation to run the family business, Havemann Hardware. Grant and Carol were blessed with two daughters, Camille and Michelle. Grant packed a lot of living into his life and made many friends along the way. He was an avid skier, bike rider, and pilot. He enjoyed sharing time with his family, and playing hard in the Idaho outdoors. He was also involved in the community by serving on the Airport Board, School Board, City Council and Volunteer Fire Department. He will be greatly missed! Grant is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters Camille Ernest (Mike) and Michelle Wiederrick (Robert); granddaughters Jennifer Zollinger (Jake), Stephanie Slavin, and Ana Wiederrick; great-grandchildren Cayden, Callyn, and Cyzer Zollinger; sisters Patricia Armstrong and Suzan Jones (Charles); and sister-in-law Louise Hogan. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law, and grandson Joseph Wiederrick. Services will be held at the Salmon Valley Baptist Church on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lemhi/Custer County Cancer Fund, 955 Riverfront Drive, Suite A, Salmon, Idaho 83467. |
