Jim lived in Gibbonsville, Idaho, where he attended his grade school years. He attended Junior High School and High School in Salmon.
In 1957, he joined the Army, where he served mostly in Germany as a cook.
On March 3, 1959, he married Bonnie Linville. For the next four years, he lived in Gibbonsville and The Gas Hills of Wyoming. He worked as a logger, uranium underground miner and mill worker, as well as a heavy equipment operator.
We returned to Salmon, where he worked as a rancher, logger, and also for the Lemhi County Maintenance Department as an equipment operator.
Jim was a very avid hunter, fisherman, and gold prospector.
He helped raise one boy and three girls.
Jim passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 1995 of lung cancer.
