| About | Keith Edward Coates, 65, of Butte, died Thursday January 19, 2006, at his home after a short illness. Keith is survived by two daughters, Denise L. (Gary W. Naeseth and Deanna R. Seright of Fort Benton, Montana; son, Kevin E. (Dara C.) Coates of Great Falls, Montana; eight grandchildren; sister, Eletha S. Daniels of Salmon, Idaho; brother, Jim L. (Alice M.) Coates, of Spokane, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was born Saturday, July 27, 1940, at Salmon to Yens and Ruth (Negus) Coates. They later moved to Great Falls where he met and married Dorothy Paulsrud in 1966 . They later divorced. He enjoyed camping, fishing and singing in his band. Keith played the bass guitar. He was a total musician. Music was the love of his life. He was always telling jokes and loved to see people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He worked at the Air National Guard in Great Falls, which he loved. His parents preceded him in death. A service will be planned for in the spring. Benton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
