| About | Linda Lee Perry (Murphy) 67, of Grants Pass, Oregon died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Royale Gardens Health and Rehabilitation. Linda died of Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Linda was born Monday, March 18, 1940 in Rexburg, Idaho to Richard and Helen Murphy. She grew up and attended school at Salmon, graduating in 1958. On Saturday, July 19, 1958 she married Donald Edward Perry, who preceded her in death December 24, 1986. They moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1964. She held various jobs but was mostly a homemaker for her family of six. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, camping, fishing, craft making, reading, playing cards and looking forward every summer to the family gatherings at Salmon. She also loved being on the pool and bowling team of the Hideway Restaurant and Lounge in Merlin, Oregon. Perry was proud to have received her pilot’s license along with her husband at the Merlin airport in 1975. In Perry’s last eight months of life, after being diagnosed with Lou Gerhig’s, she kept up a positive attitude and remaining strong. She had assured her family that she had led a full life. She became a great story teller, touching many with wonderful and hilarious memories of their life with her husband, their children, her sister Marie and husband Bob and their children. Survivors include her children; Roxanne Perry, David Perry, Lisa Boehmer and Laura Lopes; her grandchildren, Michael, Julia, Nicole, Rachael, Raymond, Chase, Dakota, Logan, Melinda, Samantha, and Amanda. Great Grandchildren; Jaden and Rylie; siblings; John R. Murphy, Grants Pass; Donna Scott; Marie Stricklan, Hamilton, Montana; and Jay Murphy, Salmon, Idaho. Private services were held. Anderson’s Cremation and Burial services handled the arrangements. Acknowledgment, at the request of her children, is simply to visit or sent flowers to someone that you love and hold dear and let them know that you care.
