About | Patricia Roche Halton Obituary Pat passed away peacefully at Meadows Assisted Living on February 7, 2022 with her granddaughter, Anna, at the bedside. She was born to Earl Patrick Roche and Betty Longhurst at Idaho Falls, Idaho on July 29, 1940, and was the oldest of five children. Her family moved back to Salmon up Boyle Creek for several years and lived with her grandma and grandpa Anna and Phil Longhurst. Some of her earliest memories were running around with her sisters Sharon and Eileen. They would always go to the old Salmon Hot Springs and sneak out to the dance hall with her two sisters and had a blast. The three of them were commonly known as the "Miller Sisters" and people always mistook them for triplets. Years later, they were thrilled to welcome their baby sister Tammy and brother Fred whom they spoiled rotten and cared for deeply. Pat graduated from Salmon High School in 1958 and went on to beauty school at Ex-cel-sis in Idaho Falls. She finished her schooling in Odgen, Utah while living with her close relatives, Uncle Chris and Aunt Dorthy Christiansen. As she moved back to Salmon, she started working for Ikey Taylor at Ikey’s Beauty Shop for awhile and then met her first love, Waldemar Charles Halton. They married August 2, 1962 in the Idaho Falls Temple and welcomed their first of four children, Tina Halton a year later in Salmon. During the time Wally served in the Air Force, they moved several times from base to base early in their marriage. While residing in Bourne, Massachusetts, they welcomed their three children Janina, David and Mitchell Halton. Pat and Wally continued to move around the country until they decided to settle in Salmon and build a home on Sunset Heights in 1979. Pat went to work doing hair for Myrna Shaw and Paulette Nardella for sometime before she decided to open up her own beauty salon, Sensations Salon, in February 12, 1992. She was known for her bright red hair, contagious laugh that was usually followed by a snort and a smile that lit up her beauty shop. After she worked for 10 years, she decided to retire and sold her salon to her youngest sister Tammy Bailey. Pat and Wally built a life creating and developing a family with all of her love. Sadly, when he passed in 2003, she continued to be the incredibly loving and nurturing soul to everyone around her with her amazing new husband and second love, Dale Jolley when they united on April 25, 2009. They shared the same infectious laugh and both carried on their traditions of love, laughter, faith and caring with no prejudice of everyone they had contact with. She can be remembered as a woman of strong faith serving many decades within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a choir member, relief society president, young women's leader, primary teacher, pianist and organist. Pat loved serving and was always looking for areas to help others. In her spare time outside of raising a family, she loved to bake, cook, can foods, garden, paint, listen to music, dance, make pottery, sing, travel, sew and be a caretaker to all. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Pat is survived by her sisters Eileen (Dennis) Havens and Tammy (Dave) Bailey, brother Fred Miller, daughters Tina (Terry) Halton-Mansfield, Janina Halton Craig, two sons David Halton and Mitchell (Deborah) Halton, grandchildren Dustin (Jessica) Hartmann, Joseph Travis Renfro (Taylor Dahl-Madsen), Christianna “Anna” Hartman, Chelsea (Michael) Victor, Alexandra Nicole, Whitney Craig, Courtney Halton, Mitchael Halton and great-grandchildren, Hayli, Kylie, Ashton, Frank (V) Hartmann and Qynn Renfro. She is preceded in death by her sister Sharon, mother Betty, husband Wally Halton, Dale Jolley and grandson Frank "Tony" IV Hartmann. Funeral services will be held February 19th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Highway 28 at 2 p.m., food to follow, provided by the River Ward. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate all donations to be given to Salmon Valley Hospice or Meadows Assisted Living |
