Sculley, David Wayne Obituary (1954 - 2023)

Graduation Year Class of 1972
Date of Birth Aug 24, 1954
Date of Passing Oct 13, 2023
About David Wayne Sculley went to be with God on October 13, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on August 21, 1954, to Charles and Shirley Sculley. David united in matrimony with the love of his life, Barbara, on October 20, 1974.
He is survived by his father Charlie Sculley, daughter Karen (Les Jumper) Michael of Carlisle, PA; nephew Chuck (Jenna) Moore whom he shared a very special bond with; two grandchildren, Nicole (Marc) Snyder of Dillsburg, PA, and Brandon (Emily) Michael of Dillsburg, PA; two great-grandchildren, Natalie Snyder and Declan Michael; two sisters, Charleen (Cathy Heneghan) Sculley of Lebanon, TN, and Laurie (Jaye) Surratt of Jacksonville, IL. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
David loved Barb with all his heart and missed her more each day after she passed. When Barb passed, they asked David how he felt and he said, "I feel like Job". Job was a good man who loved the lord and kept his commandments. Job was tried over and over and when he submitted to God, he was at peace with him. It is peaceful that he would not have to celebrate another anniversary alone. Now they can celebrate their 49th anniversary together and each one after.
David was an enthusiastic chess player and was ranked over 1600 in his prime, he loved to laugh and did a terrific John Candy impersonation, tell jokes and sometimes laughed so hard he couldn't get the punchline out, he told the best stories, and just loved to make people smile. David was a huge advocate of 1980's professional wrestling and never knew a stranger. He loved to fish and taught his daughter and many of his nieces and nephews how to fish with a cane pole as he told us stories of his big catch. Many if not all of us are still waiting for the 2 and ½ flip off the diving board. He had a broad appreciation for movies of all kinds. David loved Halloween and horror movies as well, which is why it was a peaceful end for him to pass on Friday the 13th.
