About | DOWNERS GROVE — Mary Kelly Connolly, 38, of Downers Grove died Saturday, March 28, 2009, in her condominium following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 17, 1971, to John T. and Theresa “Terry†(Shryock) Connolly. She was a graduate of Cherry Grade School, Hall High School, St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind., where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in government. During her junior year of college she studied abroad in Rome, Italy. During the summers of her high school and college years she worked at the State Bank of Cherry. She worked at a law firm in Washington, D.C., and Baker & McKenzie Law Firm in Chicago. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Cherry. She is survived by her mother, Theresa “Terry†Connolly of Cherry; one brother, Michael (Laurie) Connolly of Romeoville; three nephews, John, Christopher and Matthew Connolly; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John Connolly on Aug. 11, 1992; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunts and uncles. Services will be 9:45 a.m. Thursday in the Fiocchi Funeral Home, Cherry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Cherry. The Rev. Paul Meismer and the Rev. Joseph Heyd, O.S.B., will concelebrate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Cherry. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Fiocchi Funeral Home, Cherry, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.; and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. |
